Village Hall

O

Forget about the traditional image of a Village Hall.

Brown Edge Village Hall has all the modern facilities that you need whilst retaining an olde worlde charm that you would expect from this substantial traditional stone built building that has been lovingly restored by the community.

Brown Edge Village Hall can cater for all your needs whether it be family events such as wedding receptions, christenings parties, performances such as dance or music, as well as shows and fayres and is licensed for 280 people.

The hall has four rooms, three of which can be opened up to make one large room which makes the facilities extremely flexible with smaller events still feeling cosy and not intimidated by the large overall size of the building.   A large kitchen with professional cooking equipment is available.

Increasingly the halls are being used for wedding receptions because unlike other wedding venues because of its flexibility and its freedom from restrictions allowing brides and wedding planners to create an atmosphere just as they wish.  We have been host to all manner of weddings from a French market street theme, a Mediaeval banquet, a Jordanian Arabic wedding to a full Nigerian tribal village event. There is a grand entrance hall which is ideal for guests to arrive and to receive a welcome drink before moving into the reception itself.

Pop Fishers Bar

There is a full resident cocktail bar which for one event had to be a full on non alcoholic bar creating many non alcoholic cocktails. The bar stocks  2 lagers, cider and beer dispensed from 2 sets of fonts and at least one cask conditioned real ale at all times as well as Guiness on surge. An extensive range of wines, sparkling wines, champagnes and spirits including 6 whiskeys and 3 gins.

The facilities are carefully managed and maintained which includes thorough overnight cleaning to ensure clients are not disappointed in any way.  All clients are given contracts with terms and conditions of hiring to ensure a well run event.

    Hello,

Following his successful 2014 tour, I am now organising the 2015 tour for Martin Daniels.

Martin (the son of Paul Daniels) found fame on his father’s television show and moved on to TV game shows before becoming one of the top entertainers on P and O cruise ships for many years.

When he decided to return to the UK and become land based once again he was immediately booked to appear on the Penn and Teller ‘Fool Us’ TV show.
Martin’s family show features a lot of comedy and magic tricks. The show is primarily an adult show however completely suitable for all ages and has been well received by all audiences. To quote an old show business saying ‘He has them roaring with laughter without a blush in sight.’

Martin’s 2014 “Now You See Me Tour” was highly successful at several halls across the country and has great fund raising advantages for your venue.

We provide the show and the posters. This is a top rated entertainment event. You provide the hall and sell the tickets.

The box office money, as in many theatres, is then split with Martin. You get 20% of your ticket sales and the money from bar and refreshment sales.
Most venues have also created some sort of raffle, tomobola or bingo. Some venues did so as a fundraiser for a charity of their choice whilst some venues did this as an in-house fundraiser for hall improvements.

If you do have such a fund raiser then Martin will be glad to incorporate that into the show.

The venues were incredibly happy with these arrangements and this made a profit for them as well as Martin.

The event would require a lot of publicity, we would need a place for people to buy tickets which we provide. We can also make create an online box office allowing people to make bookings via the Ticketsource website.

To maximise your profits posters need to be distributed. As well as our office sending them to clubs and businesses in your area we can also send you several posters to display or distribute. That will definitely work in your favour as well as “word of mouth”to all your venue’s friends and families.

If you have any queries at all please ask. It is in our best interest to help you.

    Hi,

I am looking to rent a room with bouncy castle or space for one if possible and also kitchen space for a children’s party on Sunday 30 November from 2-6 pm, if you had any soft play equipment too that would be fab.

Is your venue available? If so, what would be the cost?

    Kind Regards,

Hi, we’re after a venue for our wedding reception on 31st May 2014 and would love to come and see your Hall…. if it is available?

We don’t live in Stoke anymore but are up until tomorrow (wednesday) afternoon, I know it’s a little late notice but if possible could we come and have a look?

Look forward to speaking to you
