My Mum & Dad were the Licence of the Holly Bush for 32 years, they had five children there, June, Geoffrey, Micheal, Diana & Kitty, sadly Micheal & Diana are no longer with us, June lives in Crew, Geoffrey in Blackpool, and Kitty in Tunstall, we all had great live, I wish I still lived there, it is a great little pub the Holly Bush, and a loverly village, I love coming back, and seeing my old fiend John Chadwick, and many more.

        1. My mum, Margery Phillips, knew June Burgess as a child. Mum used to sleepover with her sometimes at the Holly Bush when her mum (my grandma Lucy Phillips) worked behind the bar. I would love to contact June if possible to hear her memories. I think I may even have an old photo of her and mum!

    1. Dear Geoff, my mum, Margery Phillips, was a friend of June’s as a child. Her mum, my grandma, Lucy Phillips used to work behind the bar sometimes. This was before WW2 when mum and her parents moved to Manchester. I have an old black and white photo of Mum and June as young children. I would be happy to share a copy with you or June.
      Kind regards
