Brown Edge’s first website was a very basic HTML page published in 1994. Our more interactive and I suppose real website was first created in 2000.
This Brown Edge Website was intended to be
- a free deposit for village history
- a method for people to keep in touch no matter where in the world they are
- a way to publicise group activities and functions in our community
- a handy look up to locate local businesses and services
The website is run as a non for profit operation funded and operated by Peter Turner and is open for contributions from any group and indeed we can give access to a portion of the site for that group to edit their area themselves.
We are particularly keen to preserve old photographs and documents relating to the village.
